Dimensional Network DG Participates in EFCC Training for Not-for-Profit Organisations in Oyo State

Strengthening Transparency, Accountability and Financial Compliance in the Non-Profit Sector

Transparency, accountability, and responsible financial management are essential to building public trust and ensuring the sustainability of not-for-profit organisations. As civil society organisations continue to contribute to youth empowerment, community development, and social change in Nigeria, strengthening institutional capacity and regulatory compliance remains increasingly important.

In line with this commitment, the Director General of Dimensional Network, Amb. Oluwatobi Akintayo, participated in a training programme organised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for Not-for-Profit Organisations (NPOs) in Oyo State.

The training focused on strengthening the capacity of not-for-profit organisations in key areas, including transparency, accountability, regulatory compliance, and responsible financial management. It also promoted awareness of measures to prevent financial crimes and terrorism financing within the non-profit sector.

The engagement provided an opportunity for participating organisations to deepen their understanding of compliance responsibilities and reinforce institutional practices that support integrity, sound governance, and public confidence.

The Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, was represented at the programme by Assistant Commander of the EFCC (ACE I), Ibinabo Amachree, Lagos Zonal Coordinator of the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) and Team Leader of the 2026 National Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment delegation to the NPO sector in Nigeria’s South-West region.

Dimensional Network expresses its sincere appreciation to the Nigeria Network of NGOs (NNNGO) for recommending the organisation to participate in this important capacity-building programme.

We recognise NNNGO’s contribution to strengthening collaboration, promoting institutional development, and advancing good governance among civil society organisations across Nigeria.

The recommendation provided Dimensional Network with a valuable opportunity to strengthen its understanding of regulatory compliance and institutional best practices, further supporting our commitment to responsible organisational management.

Participation in the EFCC training reinforces Dimensional Network’s commitment to transparency, accountability, institutional integrity, and responsible leadership.

As an organisation dedicated to leadership development, youth empowerment, civic engagement, and sustainable community impact, we recognise that meaningful development requires more than programmes and activities. It also demands credible systems, responsible resource management, ethical leadership, and accountability to the communities we serve.

We believe that maintaining these standards is essential to building stakeholder confidence, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring that our interventions remain purposeful, effective, and sustainable.

Dimensional Network appreciates the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Nigeria Network of NGOs, and all relevant stakeholders for their contributions towards strengthening the capacity of not-for-profit organisations in Nigeria.

We remain committed to applying relevant lessons from capacity-building opportunities to strengthen our institutional practices and promote responsible leadership in the non-profit sector.

At Dimensional Network, we believe that integrity and accountability are not merely organisational obligations; they are essential foundations for meaningful and sustainable community development.

We encourage civil society organisations to continue investing in institutional capacity, sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and ethical leadership as we collectively work towards a more transparent, accountable, and impactful non-profit sector in Nigeria.
